Plateau Govt Invests N185m On Climate-resilient Grazing Reserve


Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has said his administration had invested N185 million on the creation of a modern climate-resilient  grazing reserve  with 30 hectares of pasture solar-powered boreholes and perimeter fencing for the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP) in Wase LGA.

He disclosed this at an event to mark the 2025 World Food Day held in Jos.

The event was organised by the Plateau State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Livestock Development, Veterinary Services and Fisheries.

The governor who was represented by the his chief of staff Builder Jeremiah Satmark said the investment was not just a project but a national model for peaceful productive and modern livestock management in the state.

 

He maintained that his administration had launched Smart Agriculture training for youths, adding that the state had also imported  275 tons of certified  potato seeds to be distributed to farmers aimed to revolutionise production of the staple crop.
