Atiku’s Media Adviser Hits Omokri, Questions Tinubu’s School Record

ABUJA – Atiku Abubakar’s Special Adviser on Media, Paul Ibe, has challenged former presidential aide Reno Omokri to explain the controversy surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s secondary school certificate.

Ibe threw the challenge while reacting to Omokri’s recent comments on issues of credibility and integrity among political figures.

He accused the former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan of being disloyal and inconsistent in his public postures.

The war of words began after Mike Arnold criticized Omokri, describing him as a “pathological liar” and likening his style of propaganda to that of Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

Ibe subsequently joined the fray, asserting that Omokri had no moral standing to question anyone’s credibility.

In a sharp rebuke, Ibe dared Omokri to “explain how Tinubu obtained a secondary school certificate from Government College, Lagos,” noting that the school was allegedly not in existence at the time the certificate was purportedly issued.

According to him, “Omokri should first tell Nigerians how Tinubu got a secondary school certificate from a school that was not founded until years after the date stated on the certificate. That would be a true test of credibility.”

He further urged Omokri, who has positioned himself as an advocate of truth, to also demand the public release of Tinubu’s alleged U.S. drug records if he truly believes in transparency and accountability.

The fresh exchange adds a new layer to the long-running debate over President Tinubu’s academic qualifications, which have remained a source of controversy since the 2023 general elections.
