A prominent author, clergy and the Chief Executive Officer of Secrets of Success Enterprise, Dr. Jim-Oscar Segun Osemeka, has urged Nigerian youth to harness the power of digital tools for self-reliance, personal development and economic empowerment.

Speaking at a seminar Wednesday in Abuja, Dr. Osemeka emphasised the importance of leveraging resources such as the internet and social media, which are readily accessible, to build expertise and foster independence rather than solely relying on governmental support.

He highlighted the vast and often untapped potential within the minds of young Nigerians. He said, by exploring their creativity and innovation, Nigerian youth can achieve their aspirations and contribute positively to society.

Dr Osemeka further pointed out that young individuals should not limit their engagement with digital platforms to mere entertainment. Instead, he encouraged them to create intellectual and entertaining content that not only showcases their talents but also provides value to their audience.

He cited the example of successful content creators like TikToker Pellar, who have utilised these platforms to build their brands and reach wider audiences.

By following in the footsteps of such innovators, he stated that Nigerian youths can find ways to monetise their skills and passions, ultimately leading to greater self-sufficiency and economic empowerment.

Dr Osemeka charged African and Nigerian youths to think outside the box and harness the potential that digital entrepreneurship holds for the future generation.

“I keep teaching in ‘The Secret’ the sacrosanctity of exploring the mind rather than waiting for the government to serve success on your table à la carte. The power of the mind allows you to explore digital skills and become great rather than relying on the government.

“Youths should learn to speak greatness into their lives before going to bed and take conscious strategic steps in achieving them,” he concluded.
