The tragic incident, which occurred at approximately 2:09 a.m. on Friday, has left the community reeling and sparked a police manhunt for the suspect, identified only as the woman’s husband, who fled the scene after the attack.

According to local sources, the altercation began when Tinau reportedly visited the home of the married couple in the early hours, allegedly to entice the woman. 

The husband, enraged by the intrusion, confronted Tinau and attacked him, delivering a brutal beating that left the young man unconscious. 

By the time police operatives arrived, Tinau’s condition was critical. He was rushed to the General Hospital in Ningi, where medical staff pronounced him dead on arrival.

A police spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that officers responded swiftly to distress calls from residents. 

“The victim was evacuated to the hospital, but sadly, he could not be saved,” the spokesperson said. 

Authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, as investigations continue to uncover the full circumstances of the deadly encounter. 

“We are working tirelessly to apprehend the fleeing suspect and ensure justice is served,” the police added.
