The Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC) Hon. Bukola Olopade has brokered in the aftermath of the National Federations’ election for Nigeria Gymnastics Federation and Nigeria Judo Federation.

There have been lingering issues since elections held at both sports federations few weeks ago.

Shortly after conveying meetings among the warring parties within the federations, NSC DG Hon. Olopade noted that the Commission has always prioritised tranquility and fairness in its day-to-day operations.

He said that even before becoming NSC DG, he has always championed peaceful course and rancour-free procedure in managing affairs within the sports sector.

“As an ardent sports lover and sponsor, I have always advocated a seamless means of using dialogue to resolve issues along the line of sports development.

“Certainly, temper may go up when people try to pursue one interest or the other, but we should bear one paramount thing in mind which is peaceful resolution not amplying or amplifying crisis,” he said.

He then urged all stakeholders to join hands in uplifting sports in Nigeria.
