Zidane confirms coaching comeback but rules out Juventus return

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has revealed that he will “definitely” return to coaching after a four-year hiatus but hinted that a reunion with Juventus is not part of his immediate plans.

The French legend made the disclosure during an appearance at the Festival dello Sport in Trento over the weekend.

Zidane reflects on his career and Future aspirations

During the event, Zidane reflected on his illustrious playing career in Italy and his successful coaching stint at Real Madrid, where he managed world-class players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric, and Karim Benzema.

The 52-year-old has been out of professional football since 2021, following the end of his second tenure with Real Madrid, a period in which he won three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles.

When asked about his next move, Zidane responded: “I will return, definitely.”

France job tops Zidane’s wishlist

Addressing speculation about a possible Juventus comeback, Zidane downplayed the idea, saying:

“I don’t know. It hasn’t happened before; I’ve made other choices. Juve will always remain in my heart, but as for the future, I don’t know. My feeling is that I would like to coach the national team in the future, not necessarily now, but one day, yes.”

His remarks suggest that Zidane’s long-term ambition remains managing France’s national team, currently led by Didier Deschamps.
