The Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr. Musa Aliyu (SAN), has described the fight against corruption as challenging but expressed optimism that it could be achieved with integrity, hope, and commitment.
ICPC Director, Public Enlightenment and Education, Demola Bakare, made this known in a press statement, Thursday in Abuja.
He said the Commission (ICPC) has joined the global celebration of the 2025 Customer Service Week with a symposium themed: ‘Mission Possible’ at its headquarters in Abuja.
The spokesperson person noted that Dr Aliyu made the assertion while speaking on the theme, which highlighted the Commission’s ongoing commitment to excellence in service delivery and integrity in public service.
He said the anti-graft agency’s boss emphasised: “The fight against corruption is not for ICPC alone but for every Nigerian who has the interest of the nation at heart. With integrity, hope, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we can turn our mission into a possible reality.”
He said the ICPC Chairman, who was represented by Mr. Clifford Oparaodu, reaffirmed the Commission’s dedication to its mission of ridding Nigeria of corruption through lawful enforcement and preventive measures.
Dr. Aliyu commended the Reforms/SERVICOM Unit for organising the symposium and for their tireless efforts in ensuring quality service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders.
He noted the unit’s achievements in implementing the ICPC Service Charter, monitoring key processes such as procurement, conducting customer satisfaction surveys, and handling complaints with professionalism.
The Chairman also expressed appreciation to the SERVICOM office for its continued partnership with the Commission, citing previous collaborations including the 2024 Customer Service Week, the launch of the ICPC Service Charter, and a staff sensitisation program held in February 2025.
In a goodwill message, the acting National Coordinator of SERVICOM, Mr. Anthony Oshin,
congratulated the ICPC on its steadfast role in promoting integrity, accountability, and public trust.
He lauded the Commission’s focus on citizen-centered service delivery, particularly through improved complaint resolution mechanisms and digital reporting platforms that enhance transparency and public confidence.
The acting national cordinator, who was represented by represented by Mr. Mfon Mfon, commended the dedication of ICPC staff who handle public complaints, petitions, and inquiries daily, describing them as “frontline heroes” who embody the spirit of the 2025 theme, Mission Possible.
