Algerian star Riyad Mahrez has confirmed that the 2026 World Cup will be his last appearance for his country.
Mahrez made this known after helping his team overcome Somalia 3-0 in a 2026 World Cup qualifier that also secured qualification for his country.
Reacting after the game, the Al Ahli star, in a chat with Algerian media, stated that he will do his best for Algeria at the Mundial.

“This will be my last World Cup. I’m not Ronaldo,” Mahrez told Algerian media.
“I’ll give everything I have to represent Algeria in the best possible way.
“I thank God for this important win. I’m happy to have helped with two assists, but the most important thing is that we’ve officially qualified.”
