Leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, Oba Oladipo Olaitan, on Tuesday, criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He accused the party of deceiving Nigerians and manipulating figures to cover up its failures.
Speaking during an interview on Sunrise Daily, a programme on Channels Television, Olaitan alleged that the APC has built its political strategy on deception rather than genuine governance.

“APC is good at what they know how to do deceive people, manipulate figures, conceal issues; that’s their job and they know how to do it,” he said.
The Afenifere leader questioned the credibility of the ruling party’s leadership, warning that Nigerians are not safer under the current administration.
“The question I have is, do you feel safe where you are now?” he asked.
Olaitan also revisited claims about the previous administration, saying some of its members allegedly went to extreme lengths to seize power.
“The story is out there that just because they wanted to rule this nation by hook or crook, they went as far as imposing foreign nationals Fulanis to be precise into this country to destroy the nation if they could not get power,” he claimed.
He further criticized President Bola Tinubu’s campaign declaration of “Emi Lokan” (“It’s my turn”), describing it as a reflection of self-interest over national progress.
“If anybody has that type of mind, nothing good can come out of him,” Olaitan added.
The Afenifere chieftain urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and demand accountability from leaders, warning that “a government built on deceit cannot deliver true democracy.”
