Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi on Tuesday sharply reprimanded Arise TV presenter Rufai Oseni following a disagreement during an interview session.

The drama ensued during the station’s popular The Morning Show programme, which had the minister as a guest.

A clip of the heated exchange circulated on X on Tuesday morning.

Oseni, who is one of the show’s hosts, posted a question to the minister and challenged the ex-Ebonyi governor for addressing himself as a Professor of Engineering.

The broadcaster further stated that Umahi had reported him to President Bola Tinubu over his views on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.

The visibly angry minister fired back at the journalist, stating, “Keep quiet and stop saying what you don’t know. I’m a professor in this field. You don’t understand anything.

“I understand engineering very well. You have no knowledge of what you ask. You have no knowledge of what you’re asking.”

He added, “You are too small for me to report the President. Stop saying I reported you to the President, you’re too small.”

Oseni also refused to back down, stating: “Minister, it’s it’s alright, keep dignifying yourself, and let the world know who you truly are.”
