Nollywood actor and filmmaker Tobi Makinde has revealed that he is engaged, delighting fans with a heartfelt announcement on social media.
Makinde, widely recognized for his role as Timini in the popular TV series Jenifa’s Diary and as co-director of Battle on Buka Street, shared his excitement about entering this new chapter of his personal life.

On Sunday, Makinde took to Instagram to share his happiness, writing, “Some months ago, the love of my life said YES to me, and I was most delighted. I’m excited for this new journey that I’m about to embark on. Truthfully, it has always seemed very far-fetched, but just like every other BIG step I have taken in life, I sought God’s face, and trust me, He has always led me aright.”

He also revealed a humorous twist to the proposal, admitting that the engagement ring didn’t fit as intended.
“I had only one job, which was to get a ring to fit perfectly, but I blew it and got a bigger size. Anyways, that has been sorted now. Na intention matter pass,” he added.
He concluded his post on a cheerful note, writing, “I love you, my darling!! PS — I don finally commot for the ‘let the singles breathe group.’ Somebody shout hallelujah.”
The filmmaker, also lauded for his role as Shina Judah in the 2024 hit A Tribe Called Judah, was showered with congratulatory messages from fans and fellow Nollywood colleagues.
