The Edo State Police have taken into custody a middle-aged man, TJ, over allegations that he killed his wife, Queen, in Auchi, located in Etsako West Local Government Area.
According to VANGUARD, TJ allegedly attacked his wife with an axe on Tuesday, September 30, before fleeing the scene. Neighbours revealed that the couple had recently celebrated their two-year-old son’s birthday shortly before the tragedy occurred.
A local resident, who requested anonymity, said, “There was no sign of a quarrel between them. We all went to bed that night, but by morning, neighbours did not see them come out and assumed they were still asleep. It was their little boy who later came out of the room with bloodstains on his body.”
