Abia’s Future Lies With APC In 2027

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will take over Abia State.

The state is currently governed by the Labour Party, but Kalu expressed confidence that APC would reclaim control in the 2027 elections.

Kalu made the statement on Sunday, while addressing supporters and APC members at an event in Umuahia.

“The South-East is predominantly a trading region, and the President is determined to bring a seaport closer to the people,” Kalu said.

“The time has come for Abia to be integrated into mainstream politics so as to benefit more from the centre.”

He expressed confidence in APC’s ability to reclaim the state. “We are going to take over Abia in 2027; we want to work with the President to move our state forward,” Kalu stated.

Addressing misconceptions about the nature of the crowd at the event, Kalu emphasized the genuine support of the attendees.

“When they see us gather, they think it’s about money. It’s not about money. It’s about the love we have for our President. It’s about the momentum for what will come in 2027.

“The crowd here is not a rented crowd; it’s organic.

“They are here to move the state and the federal government forward,” he added.
