Leader of the United Kingdom Conservative Party Kemi Badenoch has unveiled a radical borders plan which targets the repatriation of 150,000 irregular migrants annually.
Badenoch made the disclosure in a video posted on her X handle.
Badenoch said as part of the plan, a new Removal Force that is similar to that of the United States Immigration will be operationalised in order to actualise the plan.
The radical borders plan, when set in motion, will see a total number of 750,000 repatriated within a period of five years.
“Today, I am launching our radical borders plan, the toughest reforms Britain has ever seen to border laws and operations.
“Successive governments have failed on immigration. Labour promised to smash the gangs. Instead, just a year, they delivered record small boat crossings. Over 50,000 illegal arrivals, 32,000 people in asylum hotels, billions wasted. It’s pure weakness.
“Britain needs a serious credible plan and the backbone to deliver it. That’s the Conservatives. That’s our borders plan,” Badenoch said.
Badenoch also wrote: “My message is clear: if you’re here illegally, you will be detained and deported.
“Our new Removals Force, modelled on US ICE, will deport 150,000 illegal migrants each year.”
While further saying that irregular arrivals will be deported within a week, Badenoch added that legal barriers to mass deportations will be removed and visa sanctions imposed on countries that are reluctant to repatriate their nationals.
According to Badenoch, the agency tasked with the role of enforcement will shut down the asylum hotel racket, save taxpayers billions and ultimately restore public trust in the borders of the United Kingdom.
“Only the Conservatives have a serious, credible plan to deliver stronger borders,” she also said.
Badenoch further warned intending irregular migrants that if they travel to the United Kingdom illegally, they will be deported to their countries of origin.
When asked in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation where the 150,000 will go to, Badenoch replied: “Not here, not here, they do not belong here.”
“They are committing crimes, they are hurting people. We have been trying to deport so many people and have been facing obstacles in the legal system. That’s why we are leaving the ECHR.
“We tried to deport a Jamaican national who had committed crimes. Shabana Mahmood and Keir Starmer wrote a letter asking us not to deport him. He went on to kill someone else later.
“I’m tired of us asking all of these irrelevant questions about where should they go? They would go back to where they should do, or another country, but they should not be here. We need to look after the people of our country,” Badenoch stated.
