Troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) have successfully neutralized several bandits who mounted a blockade on the Kankara–Yantumaki Road in Katsina State, robbing unsuspecting commuters on Friday.
The incident was disclosed in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by security analyst, Bakatsine, on Saturday. According to him, the operatives engaged the armed bandits in a fierce gun duel, resulting in the elimination of the assailants.

Bakatsine wrote: “This afternoon, JTF operatives engaged bandits who blocked the Kankara–Yantumaki way and robbed commuters. They neutralized them, recovered stolen motorcycles and returned them to their owners.”
The JTF operatives reportedly recovered stolen motorcycles during the operation and returned them to their rightful owners, restoring safety and confidence among road users in the area.
