“The monster of child trafficking unfortunately caught up with Adamawa State, but it is gladdening that the children are back with their parents,” she said.

Professor Farauta revealed that the woman responsible for taking the children lured them with snacks before selling them to an accomplice in Anambra State.

According to Daily Post, while initial reports indicated that 13 children were rescued, it was later confirmed that one child, who had been hospitalized and initially unaccounted for, joined the group after recovering. All 14 children were officially reunited with their families at the Deputy Governor’s Office in Yola.

In a bid to support the families, each parent received N100,000 from the state government to start small businesses and care for their children.
