Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Sentenced To Over Four Years In Prison For Prostitution Crimes

American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been sentenced to more than four years in prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution.

The 55-year-old music executive received the sentence on Friday from Judge Arun Subramanian at the New York courthouse.

Before handing down the sentence, the judge acknowledged the rapper’s numerous accomplishments.

“However, the court has to consider all of your history here,” Subramanian said.

The judge also condemned Diddy regarding his relationships with Cassie Ventura and Jane Doe, who accused him of coercing them into having sex with male escorts for his own gratification.

“You abused them,” Subramanian told Combs. “Physically, emotionally and psychologically…”

“I know you feel you are in a dark place right now, but the crimes committed were serious. You and your family, you are going to get through this. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.”

Subramanian also commended Ventura and Jane Doe as “strong women” for having the courage to come forward and share their experiences.

“We heard you. I am proud of you for coming to the court to tell what really happened,” he said.

The music executive was found guilty of transporting individuals across the U.S. for sexual encounters he referred to as “freak-offs,” involving both his girlfriends and male sex workers.

Combs was arrested in September 2024 following allegations from over 120 accusers, including a minor, who accused him of kidnapping, blackmail, abuse, and crimes related to prostitution.

In July, a jury found him guilty on two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution, connected to encounters with Ventura and Jane.

However, he was acquitted of charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, as well as racketeering conspiracy.

Earlier this week, federal prosecutors sought an 11-year sentence, describing Combs as “unrepentant” and leaving his victims in a state of fear.

His defense team, on the other hand, argued for a 14-month sentence, matching the time he has already served since his 2024 arrest.

Diddy has spent approximately 14 months in custody at the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
