Arsenal have announced the signing of highly-rated forward Victor Ozhianvuna from Shamrock Rovers, with the youngster set to officially join the Gunners when he turns 18 in January 2027.
Victor Ozhianvuna, a 16-year-old Irish striker, has already made his mark in senior football, featuring 16 times for Shamrock Rovers across all competitions.
Earlier this year, he etched his name into the record books when he came on as a substitute in a UEFA Conference League clash against Molde FK, becoming the second-youngest player ever to appear in the European third-grade competition.
Ozhianvuna’s breakthrough continued with his first senior goal in the FAI Cup, scoring in a second-round win over Wexford FC. His rapid rise has also seen him represent the Republic of Ireland at youth level, making nine appearances across the under-15 to under-18 age groups.
Confirming the deal, Arsenal noted that “the transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.” The North London club have increasingly focused on securing top young talent across Europe in recent years, and Ozhianvuna is viewed as another exciting addition to their development pathway.
The teenager will remain with Shamrock Rovers for the next two years to continue his progression before linking up with Arsenal’s academy in 2027.
