FG announces Unity Schools’ admissions results



… initiates reforms for operational efficiency, and fairness

The federal government through the Federal Ministry of Education has officially released the results of the 2025 admission exercise into the Nigeria’s unity colleges.

The announcement marks the conclusion of the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) process conducted for candidates seeking admission into Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) in the 80 conventional federal government colleges across the country.
The Federal Ministry of Education announced the release of admission into Unity Colleges which marks a major milestone in promoting transparency, efficiency, and optimal capacity management in secondary school placements.

Boriowo Folasade, director of press and public relations in ministry made this known in a statement stating that the initiative, driven by Tunji Alausa, the minister of education,, ensures that all admissions are now fully automated and strictly conducted within the approved capacity of each school, eliminating previous challenges of overstretched facilities.

“This reform guarantees fairness, operational efficiency, and sustained quality in our Federal Unity Colleges,” Boriowo said , emphasizing the significance of the reform.

The 2025 admission exercise covers 80 conventional federal unity colleges’ junior secondary school one. Admission into the remaining 42 federal technical colleges under the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme will be released in due course.
Binta Abdulkadri, the director of senior secondary education, described the automation as a game-changer:

“The new system ensures that admission aligns with each school’s capacity, creating a better learning environment for students.
“This reform is expected to streamline the admission process, improve accountability, and uphold the highest educational standards across federal unity colleges nationwide, “she said.
