Dembele-less PSG Beat Barcelona With Ramos’ Late Goal

Gonçalo Ramos scored late in second-half stoppage time to give Paris Saint-Germain a 2-1 win over Barcelona at the Olympic Stadium on Wednesday night.

Ferran Torres scored the game’s first goal as Barcelona powered out of the starting blocks, looking to avenge their loss to PSG in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Champions League.

However, youngster Senny Mayulu levelled the score for PSG, who were without Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for the match, shortly before half-time.

PSG were by far the better side in the second half and could have taken the lead more than once before Ramos buried a lovely cross into the box from Achraf Hakimi to give the reigning UCL champs a third road win over Barcelona in as many tries.

The result marked Barcelona’s first loss of the new season, while victory for PSG put them on six points from two games to keep pace with table-toppers Bayern Munich in the league phase table.
