Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Pere Egbi, has shared his thoughts on Nollywood’s standing compared to South Africa’s movie industry.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Pere noted that South Africans are far ahead in areas such as film production, storytelling, filmmaking, and overall work ethics.

He, however, clarified that his statement was not meant to slight his colleagues in Nollywood but rather a call for greater collaboration.
“No offense to my Nollywood colleagues but you see South Africa, they are ahead of us o when it comes to film production, story telling, film making, work ethics, name it. They are ahead. We need to collaborate!” Pere wrote.
