Ahmad was responding to a video shared on X, featuring American comedian Bill Maher criticizing mainstream media for inadequate coverage of alleged Christian killings in Nigeria. 

Maher claimed that Islamists, including Boko Haram, have killed over 100,000 Christians since 2019, burned 18,000 churches, and are attempting to eradicate Nigeria’s Christian population, describing it as a more significant genocide than events in Gaza.

In a post on X, Ahmad countered that statistically, more Muslims have been killed than Christians in Nigeria. 

He further argued that perpetrators often shout “Allahu Akbar” after attacks to mislead the public and obscure their crimes.
