Nigerians will soon enjoy benefits of reforms – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu on Friday said Nigeria’s economy has
“turned the corner” following the reforms introduced by his administration.

Tinubu assured citizens that the benefits would soon
materialise.

The President’s remarks were conveyed in a statement by Bayo
Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information and Strategy), on
Friday.

Speaking at the coronation of Oba Abdul-Rashidi Adewolu
Akanmu Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland in Oyo State, Tinubu expressed
gratitude to Nigerians for their patience, support, and sacrifices during the
period of adjustment.

“Today, I am honoured to bring the cheering news that our
economy has turned around and there is now light at the end of the tunnel,” the
President said.

He described the new Olubadan as a resilient democrat who
overcame impeachment as a former governor of Oyo State, and commended his
contributions to Nigeria’s political history.

Tinubu, who referred to the occasion as a “homecoming,”
prayed for the monarch’s long life and prosperous reign.

Governor Seyi Makinde presented Oba Ladoja with the staff of
office and certificate, saying his coronation had resolved disputes among
ruling families in Ibadan.

“All challenges associated with the Ibadan traditional
institution are now over and put behind us. This means the process is now
sacrosanct,” Makinde said, while thanking the President for gracing the event.

The coronation was attended by serving and former governors,
as well as traditional rulers from across the country.
