Graham Potter has been sacked by West Ham United after just nine months in charge, with Nuno Espirito Santo expected to take over at the London Stadium.
Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui in January but failed to turn the club’s fortunes around, recording only six wins in 25 matches across all competitions.
The Hammers currently sit 19th in the Premier League table with just three points from their opening five games.

A club statement confirmed that assistant coach Bruno Saltor, first-team coaches Billy Reid and Narcis Pelach, and goalkeeping coaches Casper Ankergren and Linus Kandolin have also left with immediate effect.
“Results and performances over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025/26 season have not matched expectations, and the board of directors believe that a change is necessary to help improve the team’s position in the Premier League as soon as possible,” the club said in a statement.
Potter departs having won just six of his 23 Premier League games in charge. West Ham ended last season in 14th place – the same position they occupied when he arrived, and a 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday proved the final straw.
The club confirmed that the process of appointing a replacement is already underway, with reports indicating that former Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo is poised to step in.
