Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has assured members of the National Youth Service Corps deployed to the state of their safety and welfare throughout their service year.
The governor, represented by his deputy, Aminu Gumel, gave the assurance on Friday after the swearing-in of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Fanisau, Dutse.
“The government is committed to providing you (Corpers) with all necessary support to ensure your stay in Jigawa is safe and comfortable,” he said.
He urged the corps members to see their service year as an opportunity to contribute to national development, stressing that their efforts would benefit local communities while also building their character and experience.
He highlighted Jigawa State’s readiness to support the NYSC scheme in all aspects, saying, “Our administration values the contributions of corps members and will continue to ensure their welfare is prioritized.”
Gumel thanked all those involved in organising a smooth ceremony and reiterated the government’s resolve to maintain a secure environment for all corps members throughout their service period.
He, then called on the corps to embrace the spirit of service with integrity and dedication, promising that Jigawa would remain a safe place for their national duty.
