Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has vowed to complete all the ongoing projects across the state to ease challenges faced by the people .
This is just as the NUC and MDCN have given approval for the reintroduction of the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery MBBS progry which was stopped many years ago due to some deficiencies spotted by the councils.

Gov Ododo made the disclosure today while inspecting projects in the Eastern Senatorial district of the state.
The Governor , represented at the media facility tour by the Commissioner for Works,, Engr. Mohammed Yusuf and his counterpart in the Ministry of Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo noted that the 10km road from Bagana to Abejukolo, in Omala Local Government Area of the state is crucial to the economic and social transformation of area , hence , the need for him to accelerate resources for its timely completion.

He told the people that his administration has zero tolerance for abandonment of projects as
he will ensure that as soon as the rain season eased off, the remaining 5km portion of the work would be completed to fast track economic activities in the area.
” We have completed the earth work of the entire project and overlayed asphalt on 5km. As soon as the raining season stopped, we will commence immediately with the asphalt laying on the raining portion.

Omala LG is crucial to my administration, we will work hard to delivery dividend of Democracy to them and this project is a testament to our commitment.”
Speaking to the elated audience, the commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo disclosed that the project is part of internal road construction across the state as promised by Gov. Ododo, nothing that the facility tour is to showcase what the government is doing to ensure that the people benefits from the administration they helped to establish
He said, the administration of Gov Ododo is fair and equitable in the distribution of life touching projects across the zones , advised the people to occupy themselves with what government is doing for them rather than the person that is at the helms of affairs.
He urged the residents to continue to mobilize support for the administration and to shun negative tendencies that will stunt the growth of the state.
Meanwhile , at the Ankpa township in Ankpa Local Government Area, he assured that the ongoing ACreSal Erosion control and road construction spanning 22km radius have achieved significant completion.
He promise to reconstruct inner roads at the state own College of Education Ankpa to facilitate easy movement of the people and ensure smooth teaching and learning of the college community .

Also at the Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba , the Vice Chancellor, Professor Marietu Tenuche was full of praise for Governor Ododo whom , she said has ensured the reintroduction of Medicine and Surgery programme which was stalled in 2018.
The VC noted that the governor was aware of the trauma the parents and students went through as a result of the stoppage of the Programme by Medical and Dental council of Nigeria and decided to take the bulls by the horns with the renovation of Teaching Hospital, aggressively equipped laboratories and other requirement by the accreditation bodies.
She disclosed that after the visit of the commissioner of health to the University and report his findings to the governor, who graciously approved the construction of females and males medical students hostels, and construction of Consultants offices which are in advance stage of completion.
Professor Tenuche, disclosed further that, the upgrade of the facilities at the Teaching Hospital endeared the accreditation bodies who did not hesitate to grant approval for the reintroduction of the Programme.
