The lawmaker emphasized that the bilateral relationship between Nigeria and China has been beneficial not only in military terms but also in economic and infrastructural development.

He noted that these projects have enhanced the state’s economic landscape and enriched local communities.

He also highlighted the recent discussions between the two countries’ leaders.

“During the visit, President Xi Jinping and President Tinubu had a cordial and in-depth exchange on China-Nigeria relations as well as international and regional issues of mutual interest,” he noted.

“The two Presidents agreed that both countries stood at a new historical starting point as significant representatives of major developing countries and emerging economies.”

Obasa concluded that the strengthened strategic cooperation between Nigeria and China is set to propel a new dynamic for China-Africa relations, reinforcing security and development goals.

He reiterated that the partnership is not just symbolic but producing tangible results that benefit Nigeria and the wider African region.
