The Senior Special Assistant On Humanitarian Services To Governor Abdullahi Sule Of Nasarawa State, Muhammed Egye Osolafia, widely known as Deedat, has reportedly been abducted by unknown gunmen.
The incident occurred on Saturday night when Osolafia returned to his residence in the Tudun Amba area of Lafia, the state capital. According to eyewitness accounts, the assailants stormed the community and fired gunshots into the air to scare residents before whisking away their target.
Confirming the abduction, Governor Sule’s Senior Special Adviser on Public Affairs, Mr. Peter Ahemba, described the development as “sad and unfortunate.” He disclosed that he was informed of the incident by another colleague.

This latest abduction comes barely two months after a similar incident in Lafia, where Barrister Yusuf Musa, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Culture, was kidnapped from his residence in Ungwan Nungu.
Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, for an official reaction were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
