Big Brother Naija has paid tribute to three of its late former housemates — Francisca Owumi, Joseph Ada, and Rico Swavey.
Housemates of the current Big Brother Naija season came together on Monday as images of the late stars were displayed on screen, after which they observed a minute of silence in their honour.
The tribute honoured Owumi, the 2006 debut season’s runner-up, remembered for her lively, free-spirited nature and her deep love for dance.

She died in 2024 after a battle with illness.
Joseph “Joe” Ada, also from the 2006 season, was remembered after he passed away in May 2023 following health complications.
Rico Swavey, born Patrick Fakoya, from the 2018 Double Wahala season, was also remembered for his creativity and calm nature before his untimely death in a car accident in 2022.
