Faith-based organization organises free ‘Game of Money’ masterclass, mini-job fair to tackle youth unemployment



Incircle Foundation, a faith-based foundation for Africa’s creative economy, will be organising a free masterclass on finance for creatives and entrepreneurs, a mini-job fair and a mentorship session for women.

The masterclass concept started as ‘Game of Money masterclass’ for Multichoice Talent Factory (MTF) and students of Lagos Business School, but is now opening it up to the public.

The program will also include an evening gospel concert with leading Nigerian gospel artists.

Participants at the program will learn personal finance and business ethics, how to develop passive income, and why money-making is a corporate game.

According to Michale Matthew, business ethics, finance lecturer at Lagos Business school, and convener of the program, “This training will equip persons across the creative space as well as business owners tools on how to manage their craft to ensure that it can be monetised. The internship opportunities with blue chip companies and the agency banking partnerships are all in a bid to tackle youth unemployment in the country”.

Eligible participants should be in the creative space such as art enthusiasts, music artistes, art collectors, make-up artistes, technical crew in back-stage productions and others in the creative space.

It is also open to small business owners who own fashion houses, salons and hair grooming shops, as well as similar businesses.

Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of former vice president of Nigeria,will be the guest of honour at the program. The masterclasses will be facilitated by professionals across sectors such as Abu Suleiman, MD/CEO Sterling bank, Aisha Mumuni, chief digital officer, MTN Nigeria, Sina Adegoke, chief sales and distribution officer, MTN Nigeria, Richard Mofe Damijo, veteran Nollywood actor, Ego Boyo, veteran Nollywood actress and others from the entertainment industry.

The evening gospel concert, which will be held in the evening, will include leading gospel artistes like Sinach, Eben, Joe Praise, Victoria Orenze, Greatman Takit and others.

Benefits

Select participants will have the opportunity to intern at a blue-chip company or work as an agent for Yellow digital financial services and MTN vendors. They will also be supported by Fidelity and UBA Incircle exchange.

Small business owners must have outlets, as MTN and some banks have partnered to provide agency banking for some participants.

It is set to be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island.

Ngozi Ekugo is a Snr. Correspondent/ analyst at Businessday. She has worked across various sectors, and notably had a brief stinct at Goldman Sachs, London.

She holds an MSc Management from the University Hertfordshire, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Lagos and is an alumna of Queen’s college.

She is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).
