Famous radio host Oriyomi Hamzat, owner of Agidigbo FM in Ibadan, Oyo State, has apologised to singer Naira Marley and announced that the station will resume playing his songs.
The broadcaster had imposed the ban in September 2023, at the height of the controversy surrounding the death of Marley’s former artiste, Mohbad.
At the time, many speculated that the Marlian boss had a hand in the tragedy.

With Naira Marley cleared of those allegations, Hamzat admitted in a video posted on X on Tuesday that he had misjudged the situation and expressed regret for his earlier stance.
He also confirmed that the station will once again play songs from the Marlian catalog.
In his words: “I’m sorry for the bad words I said to you. Right now at Agidigbo radio we have lifted our legs and matched the devil. From today on, we will start playing Naira Marley’s song.”
