The Lagos State Police Command has exonerated Paul Adefarasin, Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, following the circulation of a viral video in which he was seen holding what seemed to be a firearm.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that Adefarasin voluntarily visited its Ikeja headquarters for questioning regarding the incident.
The police disclosed that the object shown in the viral video was a stun gun, rather than a deadly weapon.

“After a thorough investigation, including interrogation and a cautionary statement from Pastor Adefarasin, it was established that the object in question was a stun gun and not a lethal weapon or firearm.
“Consequent to our findings, the Lagos State Police Command has determined that there are no sufficient grounds to proceed with the matter. The case is hereby discontinued,” the statement read.
The command affirmed its commitment to transparency, adherence to the rule of law, and the protection of public safety.
