NDLEA boss condoles HURIWA coordinator on sister’s death















Executive Chairman of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd.), has sent a condolence letter to the National Coordinator, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), Comrade Emmanuel Nnadozie Onwubiko, over the death of his sisters, Mrs. Patricia Okereke (nee Onwubiko).Marwa, in a letter presented to Comrade Onwubiko during a visit to the family, prayed for the peaceful repose of Mrs. Okereke,  whom he called a phenomenal Christian mother and a model of Christian excellence.

"I am writing to convey my sincere condolences over the recent death of your sister, Mrs. Patricia Okereke. Kindly accept my deepest sympathy and help convey the same to your family.
"The death of a loved one is a trying period for the human family. But as we have come to understand as mortals, death is a necessary end and a home call by God that we must all submit to.
"As such, we take solace in the life and times of Mrs. Okereke, who was an epitome of good parenting, honesty, enduring values and service to humanity, qualities she did not fail to bequeath to her children and grandchildren.
"In this moment of grief, be reminded that society celebrates Mrs. Okereke as a woman who had acquitted herself well of her earthly assignments before departing this world.
"Her passage, no doubt, is painful for the family to bear. I pray that God Almighty will grant you, the family and her community the fortitude to bear the loss. Once again, accept my condolences."
According to a press statement by HURIWA, Friday in Abuja: "The family of Mrs. Okereke has fixed August 28, 2025 for the wake-keep, just as the burial is scheduled for August 29, after a Christian service at the Saint Paul’s Anglican Church Ndiuche Ochie-uno ARONDIZUOGU."The statement noted that other prominent Nigeria have sent condolence message to the family including a member of the House of Representatives for Ideato North and Ideato South, Honorable Ikenga Ugochinyere; the immediate past Governor of Enugu state, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani; Senator representing of Abia North Senatorial Zone, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
