The Kaduna state Police command Monday announced that recruit constables undergoing training at the Police College, Kaduna, will participate in a shooting range exercise on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, said the exercise will hold at the Amanan Kasuwa Shooting Range Ground along Mararaban Jos-Panbegua road in Igabi local government area.
DSP Hassan urged residents and commuters within and around the area to exercise caution and avoid the designated vicinity during the exercise.
He reassured the public that “strict safety measures have been implemented, emphasizing that the sounds of gunfire should not cause alarm.”
The police command said the exercises are part of efforts to improve operational readiness among officers and prepare them for the challenges of policing in the state.
The command appealed for the maximum cooperation of residents and thanked the public for their understanding.
