The immediate past commandant, Zamfara Anti -Thuggery Agency, Bello Muhammed Bakyasuwa, has dragged Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, his political alliance and DCL Hausa to court over what he described as defamation of his character.

This was contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to Blueprint, Monday.

Bakyasuwa, a security expert and retired military officer, described the action against him allegedly by Matawalle and his political followers as an attempt to damage his good character and image.

“Matawalle’s political team recently went to the media (DCL Hausa) and made false statements against my person.

“I dragged Matawalle and his political team to court over false statements and for ridiculing my character. Their allegations are baseless.

“As a law-abiding citizen, I go to court to seek redress,” he stated.
