Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has criticised officiating in the Turkish Super Lig after his goal was disallowed during Trabzonspor’s 1-0 loss to Fenerbahce on Sunday.
Onuachu appeared to have given Trabzonspor the lead in the 11th minute, outjumping Skriniar to head the ball into the net.
However, referee Ozan Ergün overturned the decision after a VAR review flagged a foul in the build-up.
The Nigerian forward, visibly frustrated, protested the call and received a yellow card for dissent. His anger carried into the post-match period.
“It’s a shame for the Turkish league! They have to do better,” Onuachu told reporters while leaving the pitch.
