Bandits K!ll Two Mobile Police Operatives in Zamfara Attack

According to a security source cited by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the assault occurred on the outskirts of Tsafe along Yankuzo road.

The operatives, who were on duty, came under intense gunfire from the bandits and were killed during the encounter. 

One of the slain officers, Abdulhamid Abubakar Gobir, had been promoted from corporal to sergeant just two weeks prior. 

A colleague confirmed that Gobir was on special duty from MOPOL 22 PMF, Lagos State.Gobir was laid to rest at the 42 PMF Mobile Base in Gusau on Monday, August 18, 2025. 

The attack highlights the ongoing security challenges in Zamfara State, where banditry continues to threaten lives and stability.
