Guinness, C&I Leasing, Etranzact, others push stock market higher by 0.21%



Stocks like Guinness Nigeria Plc, C & I Leasing, Etranzact and other major advancers on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) helped the market to maintain its bullish momentum on Thursday.

The market rose by 0.21 percent, recording its fourth consecutive day of positive close.

At the close of trading, the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) All Share Index (ASI) and equities market capitalisation increased further from preceding trading day’s lows of 140,365.36 points and N88.813 trillion respectively to 140,665.84 points and N89.003 trillion.

In 22,935 deals, securities dealers exchanged 378,178,297 shares valued at N12.408 trillion. Japaul Gold, Zenith Bank, UBA, Access Holdings and Nigerian Breweries were actively traded stocks on Thursday.

Guinness Nigeria Plc share price rallied the most from N130 to N143, adding N13 or 10 percent. C& I Leasing also moved up from
N6 to N6.60 adding 60 kobo or 10 percent. Etranzact increased from N12.40 to N13.60 adding N1.20 or 9.68 percent.
