Armed bandits have kidnapped two individuals, including the Principal of Junior Secondary School, Melehe, during a late-night attack on Melehe community in Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State.
The incident took place on Friday night when the attackers, said to be about four in number, stormed the community between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
According to Daily Post, the gunmen disguised themselves in hijabs and sat at the entrance of the victims’ residence, giving the impression of being ordinary women.

At about 11:00 p.m., the assailants reportedly removed the hijabs and broke into the house, abducting the school principal alongside a Fulani woman identified as Aminu Runtoje.
The abduction has sparked tension within the community, as residents expressed fears over rising cases of insecurity in Niger State.
