The Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo will host a must-win clash today as Nigeria take on Rwanda in a decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
For Eric Chelle’s men, this is nothing short of a do-or-die encounter. Having missed out on the 2022 edition in Qatar, the Super Eagles know anything less than victory will put their qualification hopes under severe threat.
Head coach Chelle has a strong squad at his disposal, with the likes of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Alex Iwobi expected to lead the charge.

Osimhen, who netted twice the last time Nigeria faced Rwanda in Kigali, will once again carry much of the attacking responsibility.
Rwanda, however, will not be pushovers. Chelle has rallied his side to fight for every point, knowing the stakes could not be higher. The East Africans are also eyeing qualification, and their resilience has made them a difficult opponent in recent years.
