Binos partners BCDA to provide medical equipment to Adamawa communities

The senator representing Adamawa South, and chairman, Senate Committee on States and Local Government Affairs, Binos Dauda Yaroe weekend provided medical equipment to Kojoli and Fufore Primary Health Centres in Jada and Fufore local government areas.

The effort was in collaboration with Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA).

Speaking during the presentation of the equipment in Kojoli, Jada local government, Binos said his decision to attract the intervention from the BCDA to the affected communities in the state, was geared towards improving the health care needs of the people in the affected areas.

He further noted that the gestures would go a long way to safe many lives and the communities who crossed over to neighbouring countries such as Cameroon before accessing health care delivery services which also comes with a lot of risks and serious health implications.

He said prior to the intervention, the affected communities had good health structures such as primary health care clinics but without the necessary equipment for them to carry out  their medical services,  hence the decision to  provide the needed equipment like beds, surgical equipments  and other medical  tools needed to upgrade the centre  to meet up with the needs of the people in the communities.

The executive secretary of BCDA Dr. George Kelly, represented by director of Special Duties, Health, Education and Social Services, Mrs. Roselyn Abuh, said the intervention is in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda of ensuring that no part of the country is left behind in the development agenda.
