The Nigeria Police Force has rescued a kidnapped victim and arrested eight suspected kidnappers in coordinated operations in Delta and Kaduna States.
The force also recovered several firearms and ammunition during the operations.
The police confirmed the development on Sunday, highlighting the success of the operations in combating kidnapping and illegal arms trafficking.

Disclosing this in a statement, Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Muyiwa Adejobi, said the operations mark a significant achievement in the fight against kidnapping and illegal arms trafficking.
He noted, “Our officers have shown exceptional professionalism and commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens.
“These arrests send a strong message to criminal elements that kidnapping and illegal possession of firearms will not be tolerated.”
In Kaduna State, operatives rescued Hussaini Ibrahim, who had been abducted from Jagindi Tasha Village, Jema’a LGA.
Four suspects Umar Yusuf Jabiri, Buhari Muhammad (aka General), Ahmadu Nasiru, and Zakari Saleh were arrested, and police recovered one AK-47 rifle and two locally fabricated AK-47 rifles.
DCP Muyiwa Adejobi added, “The victim was safely recovered thanks to the timely intelligence provided by community members.”
In Delta State, operatives of the CP-Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT) raided a suspected hideout along Ibusa Road. Chiadiji Collins (aka Smooth), 42, linked to multiple abductions, was arrested along with Ezechie Andrew.
Authorities recovered one AK-47 rifle, 40 rounds of live ammunition, and two pump-action guns.
Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, commended the officers, on Sunday saying “This is a testament to the effectiveness of intelligence-led policing, inter-agency collaboration, and active community engagement.
“We urge citizens to remain vigilant and assist law enforcement with timely information to curb crime.”
