A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Fahad Ogan Boye, has described Senator Barau I Jibrin as the leader of the party in the state and the North, saying that without him, the party would “fizzle out” in the region.

In a recent interview, Alhaji Fahad Ogan Boye emphasised that Senator Barau’s leadership and influence are the glue holding the APC together in Kano and the North.

“Senator Barau is the backbone of the APC in Kano and the North,” he stated.

“Without him, the party would fizzle out in the region. He has tirelessly advocated for the party’s ideals and has worked relentlessly to promote its interests in the state and beyond.”

Responding to the outcome of the bye-election in Kano, Ogan Boye said Senator Barau had proven to be a champion and companion of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, since he was left alone in the fight.

He described Senator Barau as Tinubu’s ambassador and true loyalist in Northern Nigeria.

“Nobody supported him, but Senator Barau was unshakable. He stood firm and remained calm. Despite the challenges and irregularities in the election, he ensured that APC won one of the two seats even though we’re pairing as opposition in the state.

“Even though I can see some people are sabotaging his efforts, even within the APC, Senator stands out as a champion who makes the APC shine despite being an opposition party in Kano State. Without Senator Barau no member of the APC will beat his chest and comment about the party,” he said.
