Real estate consultant, Comfort Emmanson, has spoken out about her alleged ordeal aboard a flight from Uyo to Lagos on August 10, 2025. In a statement released to the media, she narrated her side of the incident that has sparked widespread attention online.
According to Emmanson, the flight attendant, identified as Juliana, instructed passengers to switch off their mobile phones before takeoff. She explained that while she attempted to set one of her phones to flight mode, Juliana insisted that the device must be completely switched off.
“I was with two phones and explained to her that the second one was faulty,” Emmanson recounted. “A man assisted me in switching off one phone while I struggled with the other. I asked Juliana to help me, but she refused. I then begged the man again, and he switched it off for me. As Juliana walked away, she said, ‘YOU WILL SEE.’ I didn’t take it seriously at the time.”

Emmanson stated that the incident escalated after the plane landed in Lagos. She said she briefly used the aircraft’s restroom and was preparing to exit when Juliana allegedly blocked her path without explanation. “I told her to let me pass, but she ignored me. I started recording on my phone. When she realized I had recorded her, she pushed me back into the plane, dragged my frontal, my clothes, my jewelry, and even broke my phones,” she claimed.
She further alleged that the confrontation became physical. “The pain of the frontal she pulled got me mad, so I poked my fingers at her face and asked why she did that. She then called me a prostitute,” Emmanson said.
According to her, other airport staff intervened but worsened the situation by allegedly dragging her out of the plane while she struggled to cover herself. “As they were dragging me, Juliana pulled at my clothes which were pinned, leaving my body exposed. They recorded me, and those videos ended up on social media. I never expected that kind of treatment,” she added.
Emmanson expressed deep emotional distress over the incident, stating that the videos have been widely circulated online, even turned into WhatsApp stickers. “I am traumatized. I feel ashamed to go out because everyone has seen my body. I don’t know how to talk to customers in my real estate business knowing my body is out there. How will I get married? My unborn kids will see this. My reputation is gone. I am still rounding up my hospital treatment,” she lamented.
The incident has generated significant reactions across social media, with many demanding accountability from the airline. As of the time of filing this report, the airline management has not issued an official statement regarding the allegations.
