The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
A graduate of English Language from Lagos State University, Hundeyin also holds a Master’s degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
He further earned a certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji, Kaduna State.

He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
In a statement, outgoing Force PRO, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said, “Hundeyin brings wide-ranging experience to his new role, having served as Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, and later as the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson.
“He was also part of Nigeria’s contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan, in 2020, and previously worked as Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
“The Inspector-General of Police has urged him to deploy his wealth of communication and security expertise to strengthen the Force’s public relations engagements and sustain positive relations with Nigerians.”
Coincidentally, Hudeyin’s predecessor was appointed Force PRO after he exited his role as spokesman of the Lagos Police Command.
Until his new appointment, the new Force PRO was spokesman of Lagos Police Command.
