Hadi Sirika, former Aviation Minister, on Wednesday, denied reports linking him to any opposition coalition allegedly planning to remove President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Speaking on Channels TV’s Morning Brief, Sirika emphasised that he had no connection to the group and would never participate in such activities.
When asked about the reports, Sirika said plainly, “No, I am not.” He added that he had recently met with Chief Bayo Onanuga at the Presidential Villa, who mentioned that he was reportedly part of the coalition.

“Yesterday, I was with Chief Bayo Onanuga in the Presidential Villa and he said I was in the coalition.
“I told him I was not and never will be. He said he got that from the reports. People can join coalition, it is democracy,” Sirika clarified.
He further stated, “I have always been committed to supporting the President and his agenda. Any claims suggesting otherwise are simply false.”
On the purpose of his Aso Rock visit, he said, “The purpose of the meeting was to officially pay our condolences to the President, who did extremely well after the demise of our leader, President Muhammadu Buhari.”
Sirika also warned against politicising visits, noting, “Visits to the Presidential Villa should not be politicized. My visit was purely to show respect and offer condolences to our leader.”
On misinformation in the media, he added, “False reports can spread quickly, but my position remains clear I am not involved in any opposition coalition, now or in the future.”
Finally, reflecting on his public image, he said, “I hope Nigerians understand that loyalty and service should not be misconstrued.
“My focus is on national development, not political plots.”
