Veteran Nigerian rapper William Orioha, widely known as 2Shotz, has opened up about how his career and personal life suffered a major setback following an assault allegation by actress Beverly Osu.
Speaking on the Teju Babyface Show, posted on Instagram, 2Shotz revealed that the accusation, which occurred years before his marriage, escalated far beyond his expectations and left long-lasting repercussions.
He explained that Beverly, who had once appeared in one of his music videos, was a frequent visitor to his home. According to the rapper, their relationship became tense, and during a heated disagreement, his hand “accidentally brushed her face.”

Beverly, however, perceived the incident as an act of physical assault, and the story quickly spread.
2Shotz described the fallout as devastating, saying it led to the loss of endorsement deals, strained family relationships, and intense public scrutiny.
He stressed that the situation was misrepresented and insisted that he has never been violent. Reflecting on the ordeal, he called it one of the darkest periods of his life, highlighting how it disrupted both his music career and personal relationships.
“I was accused of so many things that I’m not. Everybody tore me apart. I wasn’t getting shows. I wasn’t getting deals. I lost my house. I almost killed myself. I walked into water, and people had to pull me out,” he recounted.
