Entrepreneurship today is far more than building businesses for profit; it is about shaping lives, creating opportunities, and contributing to the global good. Over the years, I have witnessed how mentorship, collaboration, and a willingness to invest in human potential can transform not just individual ventures, but entire industries and communities.
My own path has never fit neatly into one box. As an entrepreneur, educator, diplomat, author, and creative, I have been blessed with opportunities to work across disciplines, from healthcare and the arts to international business and diplomacy. These experiences have reinforced my belief that true leadership must combine enterprise with empathy.
I have always carried an entrepreneurial spirit, but I know success is rarely a solo journey. That is why I dedicate so much of my time to business mentorship. As a Business Mentor with Enterprise Nation in the UK and the Association of Business Mentors (ABM), I work directly with small business owners and start-ups. Many of these entrepreneurs simply need guidance, strategic direction, or someone to believe in their ideas.
In some cases, I act as an angel investor, trading my skills for equity and watching these businesses flourish. But more importantly, I mentor with the understanding that knowledge shared is opportunity multiplied. Mentorship has become one of the most powerful trends in global entrepreneurship, and I am proud to be a part of it.
One area especially close to my heart is supporting African entrepreneurs. Through my role as Investor Liaison for Sierra Leone, I help facilitate international investment to fuel economic development. I have seen firsthand the talent and drive that exists within African business communities, and I firmly believe that England has a vital role to play in connecting resources, capital, and mentorship with these innovators.
This partnership is not one-sided; it is a bridge that strengthens both continents. The UK benefits from Africa’s creativity and growth potential, while Africa gains access to investment and global networks. As a Global Goodwill Ambassador, I have committed myself to initiatives that promote peace, sustainability, and economic empowerment, and these projects continue to reaffirm my faith in international collaboration.
My work extends beyond boardrooms and investment meetings. With a background in healthcare and wellness, and over a decade as a complementary therapist registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the independent UK regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners, I have seen how entrepreneurship can also serve the well-being of people. Through Letitia Antoinette Wellness, I blend health, education, and business innovation to empower individuals holistically.
Creativity has always been another pillar of my journey. Under my stage name Madame Kapuscinska, I write and perform music with themes of social justice and resilience. My books, such as My Mind’s Eye and Restored, tell my own story of overcoming trauma and turning pain into purpose. These creative pursuits are not separate from my entrepreneurial work; they are part of the same mission, to uplift, inspire, and transform lives.
The future of entrepreneurship is deeply tied to mentorship, collaboration, and compassion. England is making remarkable progress in fostering these values, and its expanding role in Africa is proof that global industry thrives when borders become bridges.
My message to entrepreneurs everywhere is simple: success is most meaningful when it empowers others. Whether through mentorship, investment, or advocacy, each of us has the ability to shape industries and communities for the better.
As I reflect on my journey, from healthcare to business, from music stages to diplomatic platforms, I remain deeply committed to helping others achieve their fullest potential. Entrepreneurship is not just about building companies; it is about building futures.
