Former Germany international Toni Kroos has warned Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso that his playing records won’t protect him if he doesn’t win titles three years in a row.
Recall that the Spanish tactician succeeded Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid coach this summer after the team finished trophyless last season.
Kroos, now over 12 months into his retirement told the club’s website that Alonso must impress the Los Blancos owner with trophies.
“Surely he will know how to correct what needs to be adjusted. There are things that must change, but things have to go well with such quality.

“His playing record helps, but it doesn’t protect him if he doesn’t win titles three years in a row.
“I think the season will be better.”
Meanwhile, Kroos also had a comment on new defensive signing Dean Huijsen.
He also said on the Einfach bad Luppen podcast: “A very complete central defender, strong in his aerial game, fast and with good ball delivery.”
