Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan has sent a support message to Mohamed Salah following his public outburst with Liverpool manager Arne Slot.
Salah stunned Liverpool fans after making comments to accuse Slot and the club’s hierarchy of “throwing him under the bus” following his omission from the matchday action in Liverpool’s 3–3 draw with Leeds United, where he was an unused substitute.

The 33-year-old Egyptian forward has faced heavy criticism for his comments, but Pharaoh’s coach Hassan has backed his captain. Posting a picture with Salah on social media, Hassan wrote (in Arabic): “Always a symbol of determination and strength.”
Salah further escalated tensions in a dramatic seven-and-a-half-minute post-match interview at Elland Road, refusing to rule out the possibility that he has already played his final game for Liverpool.
“Someone wants me to get all the blame,” Salah said.
“[The] club promised me a lot in the summer. Now I’m on the bench, so I can say they haven’t kept those promises. I used to have a good relationship with Arne Slot. Now we don’t have any relationship, and I don’t know why. It seems like someone does not want me in the club.”
Salah’s remarks come less than eight months after he and Slot shared one of the highlights of their careers, lifting the Premier League title in front of an ecstatic Anfield crowd.
Liverpool now face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League this week, with attention firmly fixed on Slot’s team selection and whether Salah will be restored to the lineup amid the growing tension.
